A dramatic 30cm resin seascape capturing the restless beauty of the Shetland sea. Layers of turquoise and deep ocean blue stretch towards the horizon, while breaking waves surge across the foreground, throwing delicate droplets of sea spray into the air.

The flowing resin creates a wonderful sense of depth and movement, from the darker water beneath to the translucent blues and intricate white foam of the breaking waves.

Where the Waves Rise captures that moment when the sea begins to gather and lift — powerful, unpredictable and endlessly changing.

Size: 30cm
Medium: Resin on wood
Original artwork by Sarah Kay Arts

How It's Made

Each piece of artwork within the Sea Glass collection is made from glass collected by Sarah from a beach in Shetland. Varying in colours and shapes, sea glass can be found in abundance here in Shetland, having been washed up on the shoreline after a storm.

Sarah hand picks each piece of sea glass then cleans and sorts them into sizes and colours before incorporating them into her artwork.

Care Instructions

Clean using a damp cloth, buff with a dry one.

Polish if necessary using Original T-Cut car polish.
