Inspired by my own snorkelling adventures in the crystal-clear waters around Shetland, Silent Encounters captures a magical moment shared with two curious harbour seals beneath the surface.
Sunlight streams through the water, illuminating the graceful movement of the kelp as the seals glide effortlessly through their underwater home. Delicate hand-applied gold leaf woven into the seaweed catches the light, adding warmth and subtle shimmer while reflecting the beauty of the marine environment.
Painted in acrylic and finished with a protective silk varnish, this original artwork has a soft, elegant finish that enhances the depth and richness of the colours. How It's Made
How It's Made
Each piece of artwork within the Sea Glass collection is made from glass collected by Sarah from a beach in Shetland. Varying in colours and shapes, sea glass can be found in abundance here in Shetland, having been washed up on the shoreline after a storm.
Sarah hand picks each piece of sea glass then cleans and sorts them into sizes and colours before incorporating them into her artwork.

Polish if necessary using Original T-Cut car polish.
