Shetland Three Beach Sand Soap Dish – Handmade in Shetland
A little collection of Shetland’s coastline, captured in one unique soap dish.
Each of my handmade resin soap dishes contains three different sands collected from three very different Shetland beaches, carefully layered so you can see the beautiful contrast in their natural colours and textures.
✨ West Sandwick Beach, Yell – with its beautiful natural sparkle
🧡 Red Ayre, Shetland – distinctive for its rich red and warm earthy tones
🐚 Bains Beach, Lerwick – the famous beach featured in the TV series Shetland, with its wonderful mixture of sand and tiny shell fragments
The three sands are preserved within clear resin, creating a practical piece of Shetland that you can use every day. Three drainage holes help water escape and allow your soap to dry between uses.
Each one is individually handmade by Sarah Kay in Shetland, and because I use genuine natural beach materials, no two soap dishes will ever be exactly alike. Measures 13 x 9 cm

How It's Made
How It's Made
Each piece of artwork within the Sea Glass collection is made from glass collected by Sarah from a beach in Shetland. Varying in colours and shapes, sea glass can be found in abundance here in Shetland, having been washed up on the shoreline after a storm.
Sarah hand picks each piece of sea glass then cleans and sorts them into sizes and colours before incorporating them into her artwork.

Clean using a damp cloth, buff with a dry one.
Polish if necessary using Original T-Cut car polish.
