Each tiny washing line tells a story of Shetland’s shores. Handcrafted on a 10 cm wooden round, this charming piece features genuine sea glass and hand-collected beach pottery, carefully “hung out to dry” on a miniature washing line supported by a piece of naturally weathered driftwood.
Every fragment has been shaped by the sea over many years, making each artwork completely unique. The soft painted landscape is inspired by Shetland’s rolling hills and wide skies, creating a peaceful coastal scene that celebrates the beauty hidden in everyday beach finds.
A delightful keepsake for anyone who loves the coast, beachcombing, or the simple charm of island life, this miniature artwork brings a little piece of Shetland into your home.

Materials: Hand-painted wood, genuine Shetland sea glass, vintage beach pottery, driftwood and miniature chain. Each piece is one of a kind.
How It's Made
How It's Made
Each piece of artwork within the Sea Glass collection is made from glass collected by Sarah from a beach in Shetland. Varying in colours and shapes, sea glass can be found in abundance here in Shetland, having been washed up on the shoreline after a storm.
Sarah hand picks each piece of sea glass then cleans and sorts them into sizes and colours before incorporating them into her artwork.

Clean using a damp cloth, buff with a dry one.
Polish if necessary using Original T-Cut car polish.
