Handcrafted by Sarah Kay in Shetland, this striking mosaic heart captures the raw beauty of the islands’ shores. Each piece is made using genuine Shetland beach finds — including sea-worn glass, pottery, pebbles, shells, and fragments of recycled jewellery — carefully arranged into a unique heart design.
Set against a deep black background and framed in crisp white, the natural tones of greens, greys, and earthy textures reflect the rugged charm of Shetland’s coastline. Every heart is one-of-a-kind, shaped by the sea and lovingly assembled by hand in Sarah’s hillside studio overlooking Scalloway.

How It's Made
How It's Made
Each piece of artwork within the Sea Glass collection is made from glass collected by Sarah from a beach in Shetland. Varying in colours and shapes, sea glass can be found in abundance here in Shetland, having been washed up on the shoreline after a storm.
Sarah hand picks each piece of sea glass then cleans and sorts them into sizes and colours before incorporating them into her artwork.

Polish if necessary using Original T-Cut car polish.
