Inspired by the magical colours of the Northern Lights over Shetland’s seas, this original 30 cm resin seascape combines deep teal and turquoise waters with beautiful flashes of luminous green.
Layers of resin create rolling, foaming waves with intricate lacing and movement, capturing the wild energy of the sea as each wave breaks and tumbles towards the shore. The subtle green glow running through the waves gives the piece its Aurora feel, reminiscent of the Mirrie Dancers reflecting across dark Shetland waters.
Created by hand in my Shetland studio, every layer is individually poured and manipulated, making the patterns within the waves completely unique.
A striking statement piece bringing together two of Shetland’s most captivating sights – the wild sea and the Northern Lights.
Size: 30 cm comes in a lidded gift box
Medium: Resin seascape on wood

How It's Made
How It's Made
Each piece of artwork within the Sea Glass collection is made from glass collected by Sarah from a beach in Shetland. Varying in colours and shapes, sea glass can be found in abundance here in Shetland, having been washed up on the shoreline after a storm.
Sarah hand picks each piece of sea glass then cleans and sorts them into sizes and colours before incorporating them into her artwork.
