A thoughtful composition created from genuine treasures gathered along the Shetland shoreline, Circle of the Shore celebrates the quiet beauty hidden within every beach walk. Sea glass, weathered pottery, shells, a limpet, a tiny starfish, and a delicate crab are carefully arranged into a simple circular design, each piece shaped by years of wind, waves, and time.
Every find has its own story, from fragments of once-loved pottery to naturally worn sea glass and shells that have travelled with the tides. Together they form a timeless reminder that even the smallest discoveries can become something truly beautiful.
Presented in a contemporary 23 × 23 cm (9 × 9 inch) deep box frame, this original artwork brings a little of Shetland’s coastline indoors and makes a distinctive gift for anyone who loves the sea, beachcombing, or coastal interiors.
How It's Made
How It's Made
Each piece of artwork within the Sea Glass collection is made from glass collected by Sarah from a beach in Shetland. Varying in colours and shapes, sea glass can be found in abundance here in Shetland, having been washed up on the shoreline after a storm.
Sarah hand picks each piece of sea glass then cleans and sorts them into sizes and colours before incorporating them into her artwork.
