Rare Blue Shetland Sea Glass Pendant
A truly special piece of the sea, each pendant features an authentic piece of rare blue sea glass hand-collected by me from Shetland’s beaches. Blue is one of the hardest colours to find, often taking countless beachcombing trips and hundreds of common green, brown and clear pieces before a single blue treasure appears.
Every piece has been naturally shaped and frosted by decades of tumbling in the North Sea, making each pendant completely unique. Carefully wrapped by hand, it celebrates the beauty of the ocean and the thrill of discovering something genuinely rare.
Choose how you’d like to wear your pendant:
- Sterling silver snake chain for a classic, elegant look.
- Coloured cord necklace for a more relaxed, coastal style.
Features:
- Genuine Shetland sea glass
- Rare blue sea glass – no two pieces are alike
- Handmade in Shetland by Sarah Kay Arts
- Choice of silver snake chain or coloured cord
- Beautifully presented, ready for gifting
Whether you’re a sea glass collector, ocean lover, or simply appreciate one-of-a-kind jewellery, these rare blue pendants are a beautiful reminder that nature’s rarest treasures are always worth waiting for.
How It's Made
How It's Made
Each piece of artwork within the Sea Glass collection is made from glass collected by Sarah from a beach in Shetland. Varying in colours and shapes, sea glass can be found in abundance here in Shetland, having been washed up on the shoreline after a storm.
Sarah hand picks each piece of sea glass then cleans and sorts them into sizes and colours before incorporating them into her artwork.
