This vibrant 40cm resin seascape captures the intensity of a Shetland sunset as brilliant orange, coral and pink fill the sky above a restless sea.
Layers of turquoise, blue and soft white resin create sweeping waves below, with delicate splashes of sea spray bringing movement and energy to the piece. Warmer sandy tones along the foreground give the impression of waves washing onto the shore, while the fiery sky reflects subtly through the water.
Blazing Horizon is a bold, uplifting seascape inspired by those extraordinary evenings when the Shetland sky seems almost too colourful to be real.
Size: 40cm round
Medium: Original resin seascape on wood
One-of-a-kind original artwork
How It's Made
How It's Made
Each piece of artwork within the Sea Glass collection is made from glass collected by Sarah from a beach in Shetland. Varying in colours and shapes, sea glass can be found in abundance here in Shetland, having been washed up on the shoreline after a storm.
Sarah hand picks each piece of sea glass then cleans and sorts them into sizes and colours before incorporating them into her artwork.
