Inspired by the magical Northern Lights dancing across Shetland’s winter skies, Aurora Surge captures the meeting of sea and sky in a moment of wild beauty. Vibrant emerald greens shimmer above the horizon while powerful waves crash below, creating a striking contrast between the calm glow of the aurora and the untamed energy of the ocean.
Created on a 30 cm circular wooden panel, this original resin artwork is built in multiple layers to create depth, movement and delicate wave detail. Every crest, spray and swirl is shaped entirely by hand, ensuring no two pieces are ever the same.
The combination of rich greens, deep ocean blues and brilliant white surf reflects two of Shetland’s most iconic natural spectacles—the ever-changing sea and the unforgettable Aurora Borealis.

How It's Made
How It's Made
Each piece of artwork within the Sea Glass collection is made from glass collected by Sarah from a beach in Shetland. Varying in colours and shapes, sea glass can be found in abundance here in Shetland, having been washed up on the shoreline after a storm.
Sarah hand picks each piece of sea glass then cleans and sorts them into sizes and colours before incorporating them into her artwork.

Polish if necessary using Original T-Cut car polish.
