Bring a touch of Shetland charm into your home with this unique mixed-media artwork by Sarah Kay Arts. Handcrafted using locally found sea glass, pottery, driftwood, and natural beach treasures, this piece captures a peaceful moment in island life: a colourful washing line dancing in the breeze, set against rolling green hills and a cosy croft house in the distance.

Each fragment of sea-worn glass and pottery has been carefully selected from Shetland shores, making every artwork completely one-of-a-kind. The driftwood posts are naturally weathered by the North Atlantic, adding authentic texture and character. Finished in a modern grey box frame, this artwork is ready to hang and perfect for gifting.

How It's Made

Each piece of artwork within the Sea Glass collection is made from glass collected by Sarah from a beach in Shetland. Varying in colours and shapes, sea glass can be found in abundance here in Shetland, having been washed up on the shoreline after a storm.

Sarah hand picks each piece of sea glass then cleans and sorts them into sizes and colours before incorporating them into her artwork.

Care Instructions

Clean using a damp cloth, buff with a dry one.
